YD Karaoke Studio is a lively spot catering to those who want to belt out their favorite tunes in a private setting without the distraction of a crowded bar. Located on W 6th Street in Koreatown, it fits naturally into this neighborhood’s vibrant nightlife and offers a particularly strong selection of Korean songs, appealing to locals and visitors who enjoy Asian pop culture. The mix also covers plenty of English and Japanese hits, though those looking for a broad Chinese playlist will find fewer options beyond the well-known classics.

This karaoke bar is ideal for groups of friends or small celebrations. Rooms comfortably fit around five people and renting one runs about $40 per hour, a reasonable price given the private, clean rooms and access to multiple song systems, including a recently added YouTube feature alongside the traditional karaoke setup.

Expect a friendly, upbeat atmosphere supported by staff who are engaged and ready to help keep the good vibes going. The venue’s parking setup is worth noting: there is a valet option for a small fee, but self-parking is possible as well, just be prepared to pay a modest charge to the attendant who manages the lot and issues tickets.

Evening visits on weekends tend to draw a diverse crowd, mostly made up of East Asian and white locals, which reflects the multicultural fabric of the area. There can be a short wait during peak hours, so arriving early or calling ahead might save some time. The presence of a security guard collecting a small fee at the parking lot entrance shows how the venue balances convenience with managing its busy foot traffic.

YD Karaoke Studio works well as a casual night out spot where the focus is on singing among friends in a relaxed, manageable setting rather than a wild party scene. It’s the kind of place where you can practice your favorite songs, share laughs, and enjoy a mix of music cultures without feeling overwhelmed or rushed.

We had a great time here! The staff is very fun and friendly and the valet parking guy was nice (you can still park yourself but you have to pay the small valet fee either way). They have a LOT of Korean songs, and a healthy selection of English and Japanese songs. The Chinese selection is pretty scarce, but they do have the classics. $40 per hour for a small group (5) was very reasonable. BE AWARE that the majority of the karaoke system is in Korean. They do have a translation paper for the keypad, but most else is in Korean. This was a fun aspect for us though. Thank you for a great time

Pretty reasonably priced and clean, you have to order some drink when you rent the room though. Large song selection they recently introduced YouTube onto their system and they have the typical karoke system too.

Arrived here around 11 pm on a weekend. As u drive into parking lot, man in security uniform collects 5 dollars by cash or venmo and puts a paper ticket on your windshield. Bring cash. Write name on list at front desk w phone number. There were 3 groups ahead of us. No estimated waiting time given. Maybe 10 15min wait. Customers waiting outside mix of east Asian and white looking demographic. Inside people singing their hearts out and a million tambourines. Bathrooms one toilet per gender. Given mic cover but not sure if everyone uses it. Staff wear masks and disinfect the mics. Customers asked to use hand sanitizer before entering room. Each customer required to order at least one drink each. Can be water for 2 bucks or beers for 6. No soju. No byob. Order using qr code in rooms they bring it later. Inside the room it's clean. You can use the korean karaoke machine or search your songs on YouTube on the touch screen on the wall. Fan in room but no outlet found. It gets warm inside after dancing and singing. Customers must keep track of time themselves. On weekends you are asked how long you want to use the karaoke rooms. For 3 people 2 beers and one juice it was 43 dollars for an hour. Overall good experience.
